PREVIEW: ‘Finale’ Cabaret Nights at Boulevard Theatre

What are your usual whereabouts at 10.30pm on a Thursday night? If the answer is “tucked up in bed” then this probably isn’t for you. But if you’re a night owl who is often found wandering the West End at that hour (ideally after a dinner or a show, rather than a late one in the office) then we know a place where you can continue your evening in style. And if you’re more likely to be found mindlessly scrolling social media in front of the TV, then we refer you to the immortal words of Sally Bowles in Cabaret (although we may have taken some artistic licence here):

What good is sitting alone on your phone? Come hear the music play……”

Where exactly does one find live music playing at bedtime on a schoolnight? New theatre kid on the block, The Boulevard Theatre, has you covered. This exciting new venue is home to a series of post-theatre late night cabaret shows, with each evening (from Wednesday to Saturday – you don’t want to peak too soon in the working week!) having a different theme. Thursday is theatre night and sees West End stars performing in an exclusive cabaret by way of the suitably stagey name “Finale”.

Thursday 20th February – Kieran Brown & Guests

It all kicks off this Thursday when Kieran Brown (Titanic, The Phantom of The Opera, Wicked, Love Never Dies) takes to the stage with special guests Wendy Ferguson, Lucie-Mae Sumner and Lucyelle Cliffe.

Thursday 20th FebruarySabrina Aloueche & Guests

Next up is Sabrina Aloueche (Brooklyn, Chess, We Will Rock You, Les Misérables) who will be joined by Andrew Deryshire, Andrew Patrick Walker, Cleve September, Jodie Jacobs, Kayleigh McKnight and Evie Rose Lane.

5th March – Laura Pitt-Pulford & Guests

The headliner for 5th March is Laura Pitt-Pulford (Little Miss Sunshine, Barnum, Seven Brides For Seven Brothers, The Sound of Music) with special guests yet to be announced.

12 March – Divaluation

Then bringing Finale to a close is Divaluation, a trio of stars in their own right, Laura Tebbutt, Lisa Marie Holmes and Sejal Keshwala (who between them have performed in School of Rock, Priscilla Queen of The Desert and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie).
